About the Addae Family Foundation
The Addae Family Foundation began not in a boardroom but in a family. When Dr. David Addae arrived from Ghana in 1977, and Dr. Rejoice Addae followed in 1979, they carried with them a deep commitment to the communities they came from. For nearly 50 years that commitment expressed itself in quiet, consistent ways: supporting students, strengthening families, and investing in the Volta Region they called home.
In 2022, Dr. Angela Addae formalized that legacy by establishing the Addae Family Foundation as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit. The programs have names now. The investments are structured. But the mission is the same one that arrived with the family in the late 1970s: opportunity is the great equalizer, and every person deserves access to it.
The Addae Family Foundation is a family-led nonprofit organization dedicated to creating generational impact through education, community development, and capacity building in Ghana. Our work is grounded in a commitment to expanding opportunity and strengthening communities through locally informed, people-centered approaches. We focus on initiatives that increase access to education, support inclusive community development, and build the capacity of families and organizations to sustain long-term progress.
