The Digital Futures Lab expands technology access and digital skills in the communities we serve in Ghana, providing both the tools and the training that modern education and employment demand.
The lab builds digital capacity by:
We recognize that digital skills have become foundational, as essential to opportunity as reading and arithmetic. Students without access to technology fall behind peers long before they enter the workforce, and adults without digital skills are shut out of a growing share of the economy. In many rural communities, the barrier is not aptitude but access.
The Digital Futures Lab works to remove that barrier by putting working technology and practical instruction within reach. When a student can research, type, and build with the same tools as students anywhere in the world, the distance between rural Ghana and the global economy narrows.
The lab builds digital capacity by:
- Providing computers and laptops for student and community use
- Offering instruction in computer skills, from basic literacy to the applications used in school and modern work
- Creating a dedicated space where technology is available to those who would otherwise go without it

The HEritage Economy Exchange
The Heritage Economy Exchange strengthens the small enterprises that carry Ghana's craft and cultural traditions, particularly artisans, guides, and tourism operators in the Volta Region.
The exchange strengthens local enterprises by:
We recognize that talent and craftsmanship are abundant in the communities we serve. What local enterprises often lack is not skill but infrastructure: access to markets, business tools, and the visibility to grow. Meanwhile, a rising generation of diaspora travelers is seeking exactly what these communities offer — authentic craft, cultural knowledge, and genuine connection to place.
The Heritage Economy Exchange works to close the distance between the two. By training local entrepreneurs and routing travelers toward their enterprises, the exchange helps communities capture the value of the culture they sustain.
When craft and cultural knowledge become sustainable livelihoods, the benefits compound: family incomes rise, traditions remain economically viable, and young people find reasons to build their futures at home.
